Elon Musk told employees at xAI that the startup should build a factory on the Moon to produce AI satellites, using a “mass driver” catapult to launch them and generate massive computing power for advanced AI systems.

The idea follows SpaceX’s recent acquisition of xAI and Musk’s shift toward building a self-sustaining Moon base before attempting Mars, though he did not explain how the lunar facility would actually be built.

Musk also claimed X has around 600 million monthly active users and aims to surpass 1 billion daily users with new features like X Money, as xAI faces co-founder departures and scrutiny over Grok’s alleged deepfake content.

Instagram is reportedly building an AI tool that lets users generate images and videos using their own likeness through text prompts, with content potentially shareable via DMs or Stories.

The feature would require permission to use someone else’s face, sending invite requests that must be accepted before their likeness can appear in AI-generated content.

While the system is designed to reduce misuse, details on moderation and safety controls remain unclear, and Meta has not officially confirmed the tool, which was revealed through leaked screenshots labeled “Create my likeness.”

Searches for “Discord alternatives” in the U.S. spiked roughly 10,000% within 48 hours after Discord announced a global age verification rollout that will default all users to “Teen-by-Default” starting March 2026.

T-Mobile is launching a beta this spring for Live Translation, an AI-powered feature that translates regular phone calls into more than 50 languages directly at the network level, with no app or special device required.

The service works over VoLTE, VoNR, and VoWiFi across 4G LTE and 5G networks, and can be activated by eligible users during a call by dialing 87, with no added cost during the beta period.

T-Mobile says translations happen in real time and are not stored, with no recordings or transcripts saved, though it has not confirmed whether the feature will be paywalled after the public launch.
