AI Audio Deepfakes Are Quickly Outpacing Detection
For years, experts have been warning us about a future where artificial intelligence blurs the line between digital fact and fiction. Well, that future has arrived.
A recent example of a possible deepfake audio clip that sounds like a high school principal making racist comments has gone viral.
The offensive audio clip resembling a Baltimore County, MD school principal's voice was posted on social media. It spread online and made local and national news.
The clip has not been verified, but a union spokesperson claims it was generated by AI.
